Seven almighty rules

I was doing some cleaning today and i came across an old folder that had notes from the first improv class i ever took. If any one else took an improv class from Wyatt, these may sound familiar.

  1. Dont forget the basics (trust)
  2. Physicalize it!
  3. CROW (character, relationship, objective, where)
  4. spontanaeity, not creativity
  5. blocking and accepting
  6. give 'n' take
  7. the wrench factory (narrative structure)

Randy's Seven Casual Tips For Comedic Improv

  • The balance of power (status)
  • characters, characters, and characters
  • justification
  • make the other guy funny
  • find the game
  • dont be funny, be real
  • anchors and springboards

Hey matthew, my favortie WC teacher is Mrs. Piers, and my other favorite is Mr. Reynolds, who I'm not sure was there when you were...he started rather recently...but yeah, hope you had a good weekend.
